The Gulfstream G550 was introduced in 2004, and there are currently over 450 in service. The G550 was the first commercial jet to introduce an Enhanced Flight Vision System, adding additional layers of safety and improving the pilots ability to land the aircraft. This ingenuity landed Gulfstream the 2003 Robert J Collier Trophy, an annual aviation award presented to "the greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America, with respect to improving the performance, efficiency, and safety of air or space vehicles, the value of which has been thoroughly demonstrated by actual use during the preceding year."
The Gulfstream G550 offers several interior configurations with 3 or 4 living areas, and is capable of seating up to 19 guests or sleeping up to 8 guests. The cost to charter this heavy jet will typically start at $10,000 or more per hour.
As one of the leaders in its class, booking a private jet on a Gulfstream is surely to leave your group impressed.
