The Gulfstream G-IV rolled out in the fall of 1985 as the natural successor to the Gulfstream IV. In addition to boasting an additional 4 feet in cabin length; there was also an overhaul on elements of the wing design. This among other things increased range of the aircraft and reduced the noise levels inside the cabin. Other added benefits were increased cargo capacity, emissions, fuel economy. Of note, the G-IV was the first business jet to come with a 100% glass cockpit.
The interior design maintains the luxury of it's predecessor and has 3 unique cabin sections. Equipped with Rolls-Royce Tay fans, the Gulfstream G-IV has intercontinental capabilities with a max range of over 4,000 NMI and typically runs for $7000 per hour.
